Who Proposed and Who Opposed 'Carbon Border Tax'?

Let us know what a carbon border tax is. Firstly, the COP meeting is currently held in Egypt. (Conference of parties). All the countries come together every year to sit in one country and come up on one stage

1. 'How to restore the ecological balance?

2. How to move forward if it is carefully guarded in the future?

3. How can we protect our earth?

4. Also how to control global warming? Discussions are going on.

1️⃣ Who proposed the Carbon Border Tax?

As the discussion is going on, some proposals related to it will come forward. Carbon Border Tax came as part of that proposal. So what is an important question in terms of an exam?

Q: Who proposed the 'Carbon Border Tax'?

• European Union

Q: What is the European Union?

• It is a group of 27 countries.

The European Union has proposed imposing the tax.

Q: Since when?

• From the year 2026

Q: On what items?

• It should be imposed on cement as well as steel goods!!

Q: Why impose?

• Because carbon emissions are produced by these items. This proposal has been brought because it is harming the environment more. Who is it that proposed this carbon border tax? — European Union

2️⃣ Who opposed the carbon border tax?

But soon another group. It was opposed. If the proposed one is European.. The one who opposes is basic. BASIC stands for Group of Four Countries. It is also an international organization. What are these four countries?

1. Brazil

2. South Africa

3. India

4. China

Remember India is a member of BASIC. These 4 countries are also fast developing countries. These countries did not oppose the carbon border tax proposed by the European Union. So remember all the points. Likewise

కానీ వెంటనే మరొక గ్రూపు. దీనిని వ్యతిరేకించింది. ప్రతిపాదించినది యూరోపియన్ అయితే.. వ్యతిరేకించినది ఎవరు అంటే బేసిక్. BASIC అంటే నాలుగు దేశాల సమూహం. ఇది కూడా ఒక అంతర్జాతీయ సంస్థ. ఈ నాలుగు దేశాలు ఏమిటి అంటే?
